My film does not have many copyrighted songs needed, and I will be using a personal contact (David Bridie) to source my own soundtrack.

I have tried to contact a french band ‘La Femme’ to use of of their songs ‘S.S.D.’ but I have had no reply, I am hoping to get one soon, if not I will use another song.

The band replied several weeks later, and I have the rights to use their song.

Translation:

Hello, I am an Australian Student and I am in the process of making a film for one of my classes. I would like to know if I could use your song ‘S.S.D’ in my film? The story is about a man who harasses a waitress, and then learns the consequences of his actions. I hope to hear back from you soon, thanks a bunch!
