Red Betty is a dark film, with violent undertones and hints at illegality. Throughout the film, I am going to be adhering to a motif of red and blue, more specifically the colours of the police.

I am wanting to channel these colours, as they represent negativity. I will also be adding the sounds of sirens in the background throughout the film, these will be a small acknowledgement to the undergoing motif.

Through implementing the motif of red and blue, the main protagonist, Costa, the 2 sides of his personality and character arc will be portrayed.
